Lately, I’ve been mulling over whether to continue Tuesday’s “Truth from Arkansas! Sunday Sermon Series.” Last week was the 200th installment and with that milestone I’ve decided to close it out.
The series had an interesting beginning. Each week, fellow blogger, Wally, at Truth in Palmyra (AR) posted the Sunday sermons from Pastor Roger Copeland of Northern Hills Baptist Church in Texarkana and from Pastor Cody Andrews (Wally’s stepson) of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Star City where Wally worshiped. I enjoyed the sermons and listened to each one. In 2019, Wally announced that he was taking a sabbatical from blogging to pursue a nursing degree while also working full-time. I asked Wally if I could continue posting the weekly sermons until his return and he was fine with that. Wally graduated from nursing school in May 2021, but regrettably decided not to return to WordPress, opting to focus on his Facebook account instead. So I continued posting the sermons each week until now.
The sermon series didn’t receive a lot of feedback over the past four years. I realize many/most believers here at WordPress attend their own church services on Sunday and aren’t looking for additional sermons to listen to. However, I appreciate Pastor Jimmy’s consistent support of this series over the past four years. Thanks for listening and for your feedback! I’m grateful for pastors Copeland and Andrews and for all of their sermons. Pastor Copeland has a fiery preaching style that gets the listener fired up for the Lord. Pastor Andrews has a genuinely humble “Aw shucks” style that resonates as well.
For anyone wishing to listen to Pastor Copeland or Pastor Andrews going forward, I’ve provided the links below to the respective YouTube channels.

I’m currently posting regular series on the blog from Thursday through Monday of each week, so this change will free up another day to freestyle besides Wednesdays. Who knows, I may bring the Arkansas pastors back every once in awhile.
