Rick Warren continues his slide into apostasy

Rick Warren, Evangelical megachurch pastor and author of the best-selling book, “The Purpose rick-warren-mental-healthDriven Life,” has publicly embraced Roman Catholicism on many occasions.

Warren wrote the introduction to Time magazine’s booklet, “Mother Teresa at 100: The Life and Works of a Modern Saint,” and has officially endorsed Catholicism’s evangelization program, Catholics Come Home. Warren was one of the featured speakers at Humanum, the Vatican’s International Religious Colloquium on the Complementarity of Man and Woman in November 2014. In an EWTN interview he “called for adherents of various Christian denominations to unite with Roman Catholics and Pope Francis to work together on three shared goals, focusing on the sanctity of life, the sanctity of sex, and the sanctity of marriage. He went on to defend Catholicism and to clarify some of the most common misconceptions about Catholic teaching, pertaining to Marian dogmas and prayer to the saints.” “If you love Jesus,” he said, “we’re on the same team.” In another EWTN interview Warren proclaimed he was an “avid fan” of EWTN and that he worships while regularly watching the “Chaplet of Divine Mercy” program.

Warren is scheduled to be one of the key speakers at the World Meeting of Families meeting in Philadelphia in September, which is sponsored by the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for the Family.

No doubt pope Francis and the rest of the Catholic hierarchy are heartily celebrating their inroads into Evangelicalism via Warren and others. Rick Warren is deliberately ignoring the doctrines that divide Evangelicalism and Catholicism and that Protestant martyrs suffered and died for. Most importantly, Evangelicals believe in the Gospel of salvation by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone while Catholics believe in salvation through church-administered sacramental grace and merit. It’s my belief that Warren continues to sell out the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the ecumenical “gospel” of religious “morality” to shore-up his popularity and retain his title as “America’s Pastor.”

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse! Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” – Galatians 1:6-10

    1. I’m an exCatholic and I can tell that the true Catholics do not worship the biblical Jesus. When it come to how one gets to heaven a Catholic will say my faith and works will get me to heaven You cannot mix Catholocism with biblical protestantism. They arr3e not compatible. And Rick Warren is a one world globolist guru whose message is “compromise”. What a wimp and a phony.
