In this episode we discuss the Roman Catholic Church’s latest response to addressing the worldwide Covid 19 pandemic. The RCC’s response demonstrates the dangers of Vatican II theology when put into practice, and highlights its ever growing ecumenical agenda to achieve unity at the expense of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
My Comments
At the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic, with its soaring death rates, pope Francis called upon everyone in the world to invoke their particular deity/deities on May 14, 2020 to end the scourge. An interfaith/interreligious prayer initiative such as this reveals the RCC’s wider embracement of Universalism, all under the leadership of the papacy. Catholicism’s universalistic teachings didn’t begin with Francis, but go back to the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965). Good discussion.

That is interesting. I found this quote: “We are all united as human beings, as brothers and sisters, praying to God each according to our own culture, traditions and beliefs, but brothers and sisters praying to God,” the pope said.
Very sad! I am praying for him.

Thanks for the quote, Michael. Yes, the pope and the RCC unabashedly teach works-righteousness salvation and also grant that all non-Catholic religionists and even atheists are also able to merit Heaven “if they sincerely follow the light they are given.”

Crazy to hear this and hear window of the days of 2020 Covid era with the opening.
Crazy to hear the ecumenical joint prayer sessions with other faith organized by Rome. Crazy how Rome has a bipolar theology where all ways are open but then to protestants they say they are the way.
I thought the response was good; we should be good neighbors with others but we aren’t all same spiritual brothers.

Thanks for listening and for the good comments! Pope Francis’ interreligious day of prayer against C-19 revealed the Universalistic nature of RC-ism. Yes, it’s amazing how conservative Catholic apologists like Broussard continue to rail against Protestantism in light of such things as Francis’ interreligious day of prayer. Such a blatant dichotomy.

Catholic apologists are hoping the next pope is conservative like JPII, but even he was very pro-interreligious.
