Although the U.S. Catholic bishops are solidly against abortion, a recent AP poll found that 64 percent of U.S. Catholic laypersons agreed that abortion should be legal in most or all cases.

Angry pro-abortion supporters are targeting Catholic churches after the overturning of Roe vs. Wade because Catholics are stereotyped as being anti-abortion despite polls which show the majority support the genocide. We note that of the five Supreme Court justices who voted to overturn Roe, four are Roman Catholic: Samuel Alito, Amy Coney Barrett, Brent Kavanaugh, and Clarence Thomas. Neil Gorsuch was raised a Catholic, but now identifies as Episcopalian. False-gospel religious moralists need the Gospel as much as radical pro-abortionists.
At least the pope isn’t advising mothers to push their sons to be priests.
The National Association of Evangelicals has been heading down the path of the social justice gospel. I don’t blame the PCA for leaving. For a list of denominations that belong to the NAE, see here.
On one hand, I’m glad parents can use vouchers for private schools. On the other hand, I don’t like public tax dollars going to Catholic schools.
Are feminists pleased or angry that “transgender women” have been banned from competing in women’s swimming events? I imagine this ban will be overturned via lawsuit very soon.
This interesting article from a conservative Catholic source focuses on the squabbling between conservative and progressive Catholics over the liturgical rubrics of the mass. The Roman Catholic mass is anti-Biblical from start to finish.
Catholic archbishop of San Francisco, Salvatore Cordileone, made headlines on May 20 when he banned House Speaker and abortion-supporter, Nancy Pelosi, from receiving the Jesus wafer in her home diocese, yet Pelosi received a personal greeting and “blessing” from pope Francis before receiving the Jesus wafer at a papal mass when she visited the Vatican this past Wednesday. Pelosi is clearly “using” the pope for political purposes just as Francis is using her. Cordileone and Francis are clearly not on the same page of their false gospel.
Tom’s retirement countdown: 17 more weekends to go!
The unrestrained riots of 2020 unleashed an anarchy in our culture. There is a devilish heady power in lashing out against authority. Now directed toward the Catholic Church but soon there’ll be manufactured cause to rise up against believers.
Re Pelosi & the wafer – I always wanted to see a ‘wafer factory’ video, where people can see how this Jesus wafer is manufactured like a Ritz Cracker.
Good round up Tom, have a great weekend as you count down!!

Yup, they’ll be coming after believers who don’t toe the L*** line.
Good point about the Jesus wafer factory. Back in history, communion bread was large round loaves with pieces broken off and crumbs flying everywhere. Flying Jesus crumbs don’t comport well with the doctrine of transubstantiation, not like the slick factory-made “hosts.”
Thanks, Lisa Beth! Have a great weekend as well!

“Flying Jesus crumbs… 😂😂😂

Yup, the majority of Catholics think abortion is fine. If a person claimed to be a Gospel Christian, but supported abortion, I would question their salvation. Maybe that’s possible if they never read their Bible.
RE: Flying Jesus crumbs.
Yup, transubstantiation is absurd, and even more absurd when one thinks about the early Christians breaking pieces off of bread loaves at communion services and crumbs flying all over.

1. Crazy polls show Catholics don’t necessarily support pro-life anymore.
2. Crazy the attacks on churches though; it seems its done to Conservative Protestant churches too.
3. Pelosi and the pope are definitely using each other; I suspect they have more in common though than with Conservative Catholics; still Conservative Catholics have more in common with these two folks than with Born Again Christians; Catholics have wrong gospel
Wow the count down is getting closer!

RE: Catholics & polls
Yeah, the “average” Catholic in the pew disagrees with the U.S. hierarchy on a number of issues.
RE: attacks on Conservative Protestant churches too
Sad.
RE: Pelosi and Francis vs. conservative Catholics
Yup, all of the tussling between progressive and conservative Catholics is without the Gospel.
RE: countdown
It’s hard to believe it’s only four months away.

Answering your question: I still need to figure out what to do with 4th of July! We had homeschooling earlier still, taught them logic and about to teach from Exodus after late lunch; I think we are planning last minute bbq; weekend of the first of the month are always crazy with extra monthly studies so didn’t plan things…I also need to load sermons up thanks for checking out sermon audio!

When I was still Roman Catholic I attended a class for those who wanted to be Eucharistic ministers. I remember the priest saying we didn’t have to be in the “state of grace” in order to give out the Jesus wafer (as you so appropriately call it.) I thought to myself that doesn’t sound right to me. After class I asked the priest about that. I don’t think he understood my question and he got upset with me. I think maybe he was thinking I wanted the freedom to be living in sin and still be able to give out the Jesus wafer. The day I was to be installed as a Eucharistic minister I got sick and wasn’t able to attend. Those were the beginning of my coming out days. I believe the Lord was protecting me even then.

Praise God for the “road blocks” He used to lead you out of RC-ism!
