Truth from Arkansas! Sunday Sermon Series, #120

Today, in our ongoing “Truth from Arkansas” series, we’re featuring two new sermons from the brethren down under.

First, we have Pastor Roger Copeland of Northern Hills Baptist Church in Texarkana, preaching from Luke 19:11-27 on “Good and Faithful Servant.”

Next, we have Pastor Cody Andrews of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Star City preaching from Hebrews 4:14-16 on “Our Great High Priest.”

Both of these sermons were delivered on Sunday, January 9th.

Pastor Roger Copeland – Good and Faithful Servant

Pastor Cody Andrews – Our Great High Priest – Sermon begins at the 14:30 mark

  1. Going to listen to this! Answering your question: Homeschool lesson today with my kids on logic, going to now work to prepare to preach tonight on Nahum! By the way 25 F is too cold for me!!!

    1. Hope the homeschool and sermon prep went well! My wife always tries to put a positive spin on the snow and cold, on how beautiful the snow is and how the cold is invigorating. Maybe I will take up cross country skiing next winter to “go with the flow” rather than gripe. I x-country skied many years ago.

      1. RE: I have a hard time in the cold if I were living in ROC that would be too much !

I definitely get that. The bitter cold is one of the three reasons why so many New Yorkers are leaving the state, the other two being the high taxes and the lack of jobs.

      2. Yup, every Western New Yorker knows those two problems are strangling the state to death, but we seem to be already well past the point of no return.

  2. Good sermon on waiting and yet doing what God want in our lives as we are in the “waiting room.” This is very relevant for many. He preached well about not making excuses what we are to do in serving God. Convicting and challenging.
