The LGBTQ rainbow now even on my iPhone screen

We’re in the midst of “National Pride Month” and the ubiquitous LGBTQ rainbow is now even on my iPhone screen, compliments of the WordPress app.

I thought it was ironic that the LGBTQ rainbow-hued WP app is right next to my ESV Bible app. This brought to mind the Old Testament passage in which the Philistines captured the ark of the covenant and set it up next to their statue of Dagon. You know the rest. Truth is not contradictory. God’s truth will stand forever and all opposing social crusades will someday fall.

“When the Philistines captured the ark of God, they brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod. 2 Then the Philistines took the ark of God and brought it into the house of Dagon and set it up beside Dagon. 3 And when the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the Lord. So they took Dagon and put him back in his place. 4 But when they rose early on the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the Lord, and the head of Dagon and both his hands were lying cut off on the threshold. Only the trunk of Dagon was left to him. 5 This is why the priests of Dagon and all who enter the house of Dagon do not tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.” – 1 Samuel 5:1-5

  1. Ironic, yes, amusing, no. There must be something in my disposition because it irks me every time I see the rainbow misrepresented. But then, there are a lot of things that irk me as of late, so this is just one of many. Obviously need to shift my focus. Blessings Tom.

  2. Answering your question: My day was busy with a meeting with a new pastor we have for the Chinese congregation, we talked for hours. Had some other conversations with people today; I was taken away from much reading for Wednesday…but there’s a lot talked about in terms of ministry

    1. I said a prayer for the new pastor and that you two have a good relationship.

I started a book about the steep decline of Catholic nuns since I was a kid. Interesting but it will be a bear to get through. In the last couple of days, I read and wrote the review for LSH #1 of the 2010-2013 run. Fun stuff.

  3. Very frustrating. Soon they will put that rainbow on the Bible App itself. They do this especially to appease homosexual customers and look “woke” and “tolerant” And to shove down on everyone else. I use an android phone and do not have the wordpress app. So thankfully none of my apps feature a rainbow. Yet

  5. They really aren’t using God’s rainbow- not the ROYGBIV they are missing a color in the Gay Pride flag! 👍🏻🙌

  6. Yes and it’s so sad to see so many backing this sin -that we are not allowed by the world’s standards to call sin- “shame on us” according to the world-but we know God calls this sin for a good reason! It’s for our own good-His guidance to steer clear of sin is because He loves us NOT because He’s a “control freak” as I have heard some say 💔🙏🏻
