It’s Two-fer-Tuesday, my friends, which means two new sermons from the brethren down in Arkansas.
First, we have Pastor Roger Copeland of Northern Hills Baptist Church in Texarkana, preaching from Job 19:25-27 on “I Know.”
Next, we have Pastor Cody Andrews of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Star City, preaching from Luke 24:1-9 on “Just As He Said.”
Both of these sermons were delivered on Sunday, April 4th.
Pastor Roger Copeland – I Know
Pastor Cody Andrews – Just As He Said
Going to listen now!

Love how he said we all will die; people need to think of this. Grateful to hear him preach the Gospel that our Redeemer lives! And that our God is able to save (in the beginning of the sermon). Good message!

Thanks for listening, brother! Atheists say Christians cling to religion because they are weak and fear death. Atheists betray their own fear of death with their zealousness, kind of along the lines of, “The lady doth protest too much, methinks.” Death is the result of sin and the great “equalizer.” Everyone tries to put it out of their mind despite the constant reminders. Praise God for the Savior, Jesus Christ!

Thanks but to busy be tired today. Finally got my sister’s car jump started and drove it to collision shop to be repaired before we sell it (fender bender on her last day of driving, scary knowing people with dementia are driving around). Then cleaned out car to get ready to turn in tomorrow.
How’s your day going?

I’m working through my reading queue and trying hard not to add to it. Ten books currently in the pile waiting to be read.

Totally unrelated. Feel free to delete and email instead if ya want. How’s it going with your sister and working on her place? Praying for you with that, not easy.

Thank you, Mandy! I appreciate your prayers. Getting my sister moved to FLA was somewhat of an abstract idea previously, but with her move-in day projected as June 1, the tire is starting to meet the road. The realtor walked through her house for the first time yesterday (a semi-hoarding situation) and we’re starting to put a game plan together. Got to get her out of there and on a plane before we can get the house ready for sale. She is semi-resisting this whole process but desires to send all of her “junk” down to FLA. Sorry for all the details. My morning consisted mainly of describing what transpired yesterday to my sis in FLA and following up with a phone conversation with the realtor, so I’m still on the “treadmill.” Thanks for thinking of me and your prayers! 🙂 I hope you’re having a good start to your day. What’s with all this snow on April 21st?

What part of FL will she be moving to?! Good to get a realtor involved, helps with timelines and accountability/organizing (not in a bad way). Part of me PT job was assessing and helping make plans for folks to either return home or find care residencies. I was always glad to be the Assistant when it came to taking people’s license as I reported my findings but didn’t have to tell the resident/family members. If I lived closer I would totally help y’all! No doubt about it!

She’s moving down to Naples. Her assisted living facility will be close to three other sisters who live together in Naples. Yes, the realtor will be a big help as she has much experience and many connections for these kinds of difficult moves/sales.
I’m sure you were a big help to people transitioning to residences. My sisters in Florida think she will be fine in independent living initially, but of course they only speak with her over the phone. Her condition is such currently that she won’t be able to find her way back to her apartment from the dining hall.

Does she sundown? Is she better in the morning than as the day progresses? Not trying to pry! I was hoping she was going to Assisted Living.

She doesn’t sundown yet (our mother was very bad sundowner). My sister is always pleasant just very forgetful and getting worse. The facility will test her when she arrives. She obviously “manages” being alone currently, but she’s slipping.

Oh, this weather is ridiculous. My white cherry just bloomed and is wonderfully fragrant, hoping some flowers survive!
