For this week’s Throwback Thursday installment, I’m republishing this short post from previous years about something that never gets old; being grateful to the Lord for His bountiful blessings!

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my brothers and sisters in the Lord here at the WordPress blogosphere! May your time today with your family and friends be joyous as we contemplate all of our blessings in Christ Jesus!
Thank you, brother! We are blessed even under the strange circumstances of our days!! Isn’t that so so wonderful to know?! 🙏🏻😭❤️

Yes, we are sooooo blessed. I can’t imagine watching the news these days and not being saved. I imagine unbelievers are having a real hard time this Thanksgiving with thoughts of “What’s to be thankful about?” The circumstances must seem overwhelming to them.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!! I am SO thankful that we are commanded to give thanks in all things and NOT for all things! I am thankful that we can get alone with the Lord and ask Him how to respond to our situations and circumstances. The more we thank God the more we are able to focus on Him and less on ourselves! I pray that God will prepare me to face the coming struggles with a heart that is thankful and full of Him! Will you stop by your son’s house for a bit today? I am thankful for you and Corinne each and every day!

Thanks, Mandy, and I’m grateful for you and Nathan! Regrettably, we’re not doing the usual Thanksgiving dinner with our eldest son and his family. They don’t wear masks and we thought with the C-19 spikes going on that we need to be very careful. I know this is a hard decision for everyone. What do you have planned?

Nathan, mom and I will spend a quiet and rainy day together. I am glad that you and Corinne have each other. My heart breaks and I mean breaks for those who are alone and have been alone for all these many months.

Thank you and enjoy the day! Yes, many are isolated and that is amplified on a day like today.

Thanks, sister, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! It’s just me and my wife so just a small oven baked turkey breast and all of the usual trimmings with chunky cranberry sauce being the most important. What’s being served in your home today besides the Cowboys vs. the Washington No-Names???

We believers have so much to be grateful for, every moment of every day! Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Yup, Cathy, we believers are grateful for our salvation and new life in Jesus Christ every single day! Sadly, the vast majority of people in America today have no knowledge of the Lord and the Gospel the Pilgrims held dear. Thank you and have a blessed Thanksgiving, too!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones.
