Truth from Arkansas! Sunday sermon series, #45

It’s Two-fer-Tuesday, my friends, which means two new sermons from the brethren down in Arkansas.

First, we have Pastor Roger Copeland of Northern Hills Baptist Church in Texarkana, preaching on “Steps to Obeying God” from Deuteronomy 6:1-9.

Next we have Pastor Cody Andrews of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Star City preaching on “How Will You Die?” from Luke 23:39.

Both of these sermons were delivered on Sunday, August 2nd.

  1. Responding to your comment on my blog: Wow what a day; made me think about us buying fridge and appliances and how that’s a hassle I don’t like lol. Doing sermon prep and about to try to walk and read and won’t probably be long walk since its too hot lol

      1. Thank you; I am trying to focus on it being biblical and not partisan and also practical and also not have it go over people’s head too much. Don’t want to be mimicking those coke bottle glasses skinny jeans types of ministers…

  2. Today I listened to brother Cody’s sermon. Thought his analogy of his childhood’s game of the the question “Would you want to know when you die or how you die?” was interesting. It certainly makes one stop and think of death and pause to think about the reality of the consequences of the Fall…and our need for Jesus

    1. Thanks! Yup, that question game about dying, when or how, made an impact. Can’t say I ever played that game as a child, but I can easily picture teenagers delving into what adults generally try not to think about. That’s right. There’s no “making sense” of death outside of Jesus.
