Truth from Arkansas! Sunday sermon series, #19

It’s Two-fer-Tuesday, my friends, which means two new sermons from the brethren down in Arkansas.

First, we have have Pastor Roger Copeland at Northern Hills Baptist Church in Texarkana, preaching about becoming a member of God’s family and being heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ.

Next, Pastor Cody Andrews at Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Star City exhorts us to stop the malicious, busybody criticisms and backbiting and get busy with the work of God’s Kingdom. But don’t misunderstand. Warning the brethren about false teachers and their false gospels is God’s work.

  1. Will listen to this tonight as a way of winding down after teaching Bible study; just came back from a walk and “office hours” on my phone with people. About to drive to the seminary library again but this time they are open!

      1. I used to hear about old men getting up in the middle of that night and thought it was crazy. I also think with things being unsettled job wise and constantly searching, applying, and engaging in phone/in-person interviews has scrambled the old brain cells a bit.

      2. Thanks, Jimmy! I started the job search pretty bright-eyed, but my age is obviously a big drawback for employers. I’m applying for jobs matching my background but when it starts to get close to the end of the unemployment benefits I’ll take anything.

      3. Thanks, Jimmy! I’m trusting in God and He’ll take care of us. A few things (among many) he’s teaching me is not to be so anxious prior to/during interviews and not to be so disappointed when I’m not selected/don’t hear back.
