Truth from Arkansas! Sunday sermon series, #2

It’s Tuesday, which means we have a couple of sermons from the brethren down in Arkansas. In the first sermon, Pastor Roger Copeland at Northern Hills Baptist Church in Texarkana expounds on the sufferings of Job. In the second sermon, Pastor Cody Andrews at Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Star City exhorts us to wake up and walk with Christ with intentionality. Thanks to brother Wally for uploading Cody’s sermons to YouTube!

  1. Nice layout, Tom! And thanks again, brother. This was actually exciting to some people at church; they thought this was really awesome. I’ve been sharing your shares on Facebook, so it’s a full circle. I may have taken a blogging break, but Social media and webpage stuff has taken some time, but apparently is needed in this day and time, as we have actually had some contacts as a result of them. So, again, The Lord knows what He is doing!

    1. Thanks, Wally! It’s my blessing to listen to and share the two sermons every week! I love my church and all but I really appreciate preaching from the heart. Much of the preaching up here is analytical commentary/exposition, and there is a place for that, but I’m also blessed by some enthusiasm for the Lord from the pulpit! I pray other souls are blessed by these sermons as much as I am and more. Hope you’re doing well, brother!

      1. I’m good Tom. We took another long weekend and went to Branson MO to see Ronnie Milsap. Good show but he’s not in good shape at all. In a wheelchair and cant walk at all. By the end of the set a stage hand had to put his foot back on the piano pedal if it came off. He loves to perform though. My last fling before the end of the year. I should start Nursing school in Jan and no fun for 17 months then. How is your job hunt?

      2. Glad you’re getting some R&R! All of the music folks I followed in the 60s and 70s are now in their 70s and cutting back on their touring.

        RE: job hunt

Thanks for asking. I’m still working on the basics, the resume and LinkedIn profile. The company that’s training us caters to professionals so it’s overkill for a guy like me. Should have my resume and Linkedin profile done this week.
