Former Catholics for Christ Conference: Session #2: “Grace Alone”

Today, we continue with our video series from the recent Former Catholics for Christ Conference, which was held at the Southern View Chapel in Springfield, Illinois this past May 17-19.

Below is the video of the second presentation of the conference, titled…

“Grace Alone”
Speaker: Rob Zins
Presented: Saturday AM, May 18th, 2019

Roman Catholicism does not accept the doctrine of justification by God’s grace alone (through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone), but teaches that a person must “cooperate with (sacramental) grace” by obedience to the Ten Commandments and mandatory church rules in order to merit salvation at the moment of their death.

    1. I wish I could have gone, Jackie, but it’s about 12 hours from me. But I’m so glad that I was able to find the videos for all of the nine sessions. The conference in Springfield was the first of its kind in quite awhile. From what I could find on the internet, the last time a conference like this was held was the 2-day Ex-Catholics for Christ Conference held in 1997 at Grace Community Church pastored by John MacArthur.

    1. Thanks, Jimmy. Yes, we were taught as Catholics that the sacraments were like faucets and grace was like water that ran out of them. Catholicism’s concept of grace as a sacramental commodity is so anti-Scriptural.
